Problem statement: how can I get to 50K subs @ 40% open rate with Clipp Media by 05/2026

Current status: I have an email newsletter called consumer startups (13.6K subs at 35% open rate); I post once every two weeks and I usually dive into a case study of an early stage startup (e.g. lovable) or analyze a consumer trend I am seeing and players in that space

Approaches:

  1. Build on top of consumer startups (13.6K subs at 35% open rate) by launching new content such as consumer startups news focused post in addition to company deep dives
  2. Build a new email newsletter with bigger growth potential and grow both together

Potential reasons why people read consumer startups today:

Growth formula:

(New subs + existing subs - churned subs) x open rate = Unique Views Per Open

Opportunities:

  1. Option A - build upon consumer startups: expand on the current biweekly case study by introducing a new content type such as weekly consumer startups updates (including fundraising news, new tech drops, etc) to add more value to the readers
